Global superstar George Michael releases, ‘Going To A Town’; his fabulous new single, to national radio on Monday 7, April 2014.

‘Going to A Town’ is the second single from the Number 1 album, ‘Symphonica’. The new single is now available for download from ‘Symphonica’, across all digital retail platforms.

‘Going to A Town’ was written and originally performed and produced by Rufus Wainwright. It featured on the Canadian-American’s 2007 album, ‘Release The Stars’. George’s emotionally-charged version was a highlight of his critically acclaimed Symphonica tour of 2011/12. Like its predecessor, ‘Let Her Down Easy’, ‘Going To A Town’ will be accompanied by a video.

‘Symphonica’ was released on March 17. It was George’s first newly recorded album since 2004’s ‘Patience’ and became his ninth British Number 1 in addition to topping the charts of numerous countries and the iTunes charts in 13 countries.

Produced by George Michael and Phil Ramone, the ‘Symphonica’ album was the second time Michael and Ramone had combined their talents. The pair first collaborated on George’s hugely successful Grammy nominated 1999 album 'Songs From The Last Century'. The legendary Ramone died in March 2013 and ‘Symphonica’ was his final work.

'Going To A Town' is available to download from the album ‘Symphonica’ on May 19th across all digital retail platforms through Virgin EMI/Universal Music.
