Lewis Hamilton has reportedly picked out an engagement ring for Nicole Scherzinger.
The pair broke up in July following a five year relationship, which included parting ways once before in 2010.
But friends say Lewis is now serious about rekindling his romance with the former Pussycat Doll, and has reportedly picked out the perfect ring for Nicole.
"The proposal won't be a big surprise, but what matters to Nicole is that he means it this time. He'll make sure it's romantic and has already picked out an incredible ring. If it all goes to plan, we could be saying hello to Mrs Nicole Hamilton this time next year," a source close to the couple told British magazine Woman.
Nicole has recently finished her mentor duties on the UK version of the X Factor, and has now flown back to her home town of Los Angeles for the festive period.
It's thought 28-year-old Lewis had asked her to stay in London, as he is ready to do whatever it takes to win his former love back.
"He's determined to pull out all the stops. He wants to marry her and have children with her as simple as that," the source continued.
It's been reported that Formula One driver Lewis first proposed to 35-year-old Nicole in August, but she turned down the offer. Undeterred, Lewis is now rumoured to be ready to ask again.
"[Lewis] proposed to Nicole on the beach in Malibu," a source told E! News. "[He's] ready to propose to Nicole for the second time."
