Britney Spears has retirement on her mind.

The 32-year-old pop star is preparing for a two-year residency in Las Vegas but she tells E! News she's toyed with the idea of quitting music altogether.

For now, however, Britney's focused on putting on a good show at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

"I have thought about it, but I think right now is my time to perform and doing what I'm doing," she said.

But when the shows are over, Britney looks forward to slowing down.

The mother-of-two, who is dating family friend David Lucado, confesses she may soon give up the fast life and retire closer to home.

"If I happen to have another baby or something like that, I'd probably move back to Louisiana," she said. "I do miss Louisiana. I miss the people. I miss the food. I miss the way of life, how everything is really simple. There's no traffic like there is in L.A. It's really nice."

Britney does foresee her legacy continuing, however.

She's convinced her son Sean Preston will follow in his father Kevin Federline's footsteps and become a dancer, while his brother Jayden is showing signs of following in hers.

"I'm sure they will. Preston, he's already dancing up a storm. He shows all my dancers how he can dance. It's really funny," Britney said, adding that Jayden "is actually the singer".

"He sings a lot," she said.

Britney's Vegas show, Britney Spears: Piece of Me, will open December 27.
