Paul Rudd has reciprocated Harry Styles’ affections, calling him a “great kid.”

The Anchorman actor got to team up with Harry, and the rest of One Direction, when they made a guest appearance on last week’s Saturday Night Live, which Paul was hosting.

The band were joined on stage by Paul’s Anchorman colleagues Will Ferrell, Steve Carell and David Koechner. The nine men then proceeded to sing together, performing a rendition of Afternoon Delight, the 1976 easy listening classic featured in the first Anchorman movie.

“He is an amazing kid. To be that age and have that sort of confidence and style and coolness — he’s very impressive,” Paul said to British newspaper The Sun.

“And who doesn’t want to sing with One Direction. They made us sound like we actually could audition for the band. Not get in but at least audition,” Paul added with a laugh.

Following One Direction’s appearance on SNL, Harry was quick to tweet his admiration for 44-year-old Paul.
“A massive thank you to @nbcsnl for having us back last night. It was a lot of fun. And now I fancy Paul Rudd," Harry tweeted to his 18million followers.

One Direction weren’t the only music stars to join forces with the Anchorman cast.

A number of high profile stars make a cameo in the new film, which carries on the story of Will Ferrell’s Ron Burgundy character and his news team.

And it seems 46-year-old Will has the knack of being able to handle Kanye West, who makes an appearance in the new movie.

“He was great. He’s such a fan of the first movie and a big fan of comedy,” Will explained.
