The most in-demand concert tickets of 2013are the global phenomenon One Direction triumphing over legendary acts such as the Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac and The Who.

According to ticket demand data, the British boy band remained the most consistently popular group of the year, despite the likes of Fleetwood Mac and The Who announcing eagerly anticipated reunion concerts in 2013.

Excitement reached fever-pitch earlier this year shortly after One Direction announced their 2014 European tour dates.

The welcome return of Sheffield rockers The Arctic Monkeys also prompted high ticket demand from the British public. The band’s ‘AM’ tour made the top five most popular concerts of the year, with one of their support acts, Bastille, charting at a surprise sixth in the list above Kings of Leon and Black Sabbath.
