Keith Urban is moved by his “unusual” connection with Miguel.

The 46-year-old country crooner and the 28-year-old R&B singer performed together at the Grammy Nominations Concert last Friday.

And although Keith admits their performance was “unusual”, he hopes to recreate something similar with Miguel in the future.

"I loved playing with Miguel, it was really, really cool getting to do that with him. I hope we get to do something else," the country singer told ET Online.

The entertainers sang their own rendition of Bill Withers’ classic 1976 track Ain’t No Sunshine.

Keith says he and Miguel made it a point to put a unique spin on the frequently covered tune.

"We purposefully tried to take it to a slightly minimal place,” the Australian superstar explained.

“And it's tricky because it's a song that been covered a gazillion times by everybody, and we just tried to make it our own."

Keith would be happy to know that his desire to collaborate with Miguel is reciprocated by his duet partner.

Miguel confesses he can’t wait to get in the studio with his new friend.

"Keith is honestly, hands-down probably the coolest guy I've got to work with, especially on a collaborative,” the Adorn singer said before begging directly into the camera, “Keith can we make some music? This is the official request and I'm doing it on television.”

The 56th Annual Grammy Awards will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on January 26, 2014.
