Justin Bieber has been branded a “pop princess” and ordered to clean up his graffiti in Australia.
Last week the popstar sparked new controversy by spraying a wall in Brisbane, Australia, with pictures of monsters. Justin is believed to have created the mural after returning to his hotel following a show and was caught on camera. Although charges have not been made against the singer, Mayor Tom Tate has made it clear that he will not stand for this act of public defacement.
"I've got a message for pop princess Justin Beaver," Tate said in a video message. "We love your music but we hate your graffiti and your vandalism here in our city."
Shortly after Justin spray painted the wall, rumours surfaced that the hotel was happy for it to remain, with claims the star may even have been asked to do it.
However, the mayor has now issued a stern ultimatum to Justin.
"Mate, you've got two choices - come back and clean up your mess or come back and sing at the [Mayor's Christmas Carols event] on the 7th of December,” he added.
Although the graffiti was described as a “wonderful addition to the colourful Gold Coast arts scene” by one business, the local council quickly issued a statement condemning Justin’s actions.
“It might be on private land but it's in prominent public view," a council spokesman said. "The mayor will be contacting our compliance officers today to have a notice issued to the hotel to clean it up."
