Miley Cyrus' credit card was apparently declined when she tried to buy $170 worth of records.
The Wrecking Ball singer stopped off at Freakabeat Records in Sherman Oaks, San Fernando Valley, on Sunday to buy a selection of used rock albums.
However, her purchase was reportedly halted when the star's card was declined.
“No one in the store really recognised Miley, even though she was hard to miss. It’s not her demographic of fans. But she was embarrassed none the less when her card was denied!” a spy told RadarOnline.
“The cashier was really nice and told her the bank probably put a hold on it because it was a large purchase, so she dug out another card and the payment went through.”
Miley, 20, reportedly stayed true to her risqué style and visited the shop in very short shorts and a tight leather jacket.
Her getup is said to have caught one customer's eye, who approached her to ask if she was a "famous musician".
“The guy asked Miley if she could help with his band and take a listen to some of his music,” the insider continued.
“You could tell she was thinking, ‘What the hell?!’ but chatted with him and asked him about his band and where she could listen to his music online. It was really nice of her.”
Yesterday Miley shared one of her purchases with fans on Twitter, by posting a picture of the cover of The Wiz soundtrack.
"So stoked #thewiz (sic)," she captioned the snap.
