Adam Lambert says there was a lot of laughing on the set of Glee.

The former American Idol contestant, who came second on the eighth season, will be starring in this week’s episode of the hit show.

The 31-year-old singer wasn’t nervous, as cast and crew were more than welcoming.

“Everybody’s so cool and I didn’t know what to expect, but I immediately felt very comfortable with everyone and we’ve been having a lot of fun. We laugh a lot,” he told America’s OK! Magazine.

Glee has enjoyed a string of high profile celebrities making guest appearances, including Sarah Jessica Parker, Gwyneth Paltrow and Britney Spears.

But Adam says that although he enjoyed the experience, where he played a character auditioning for Kurt’s (Chris Colfer) new band, he’s not after a recurring role.

“I think the guest-star thing is a really nice treat,” he said.

Adam was performing at the InterContinental Miami Make-A-Wish ball over the weekend, where funds were raised to help terminally ill children fulfil their last wishes.

“The big picture for me is I love entertaining people and bringing people happiness or catharsis—anything with music,” Adam said of his ultimate wish.

“I like connecting with people and I like allowing people to connect with each other. I just wanna keep doing it!”
Glee airs Thursday at 9pm on Fox.
