Phoenix’s newest remix comes from noise pop duo Sleigh Bells, who have re-imagined the song “Chloroform” from Phoenix’s new album Bankrupt!, out now on Glassnote/Atlantic Records UK.
The song can be heard below right now and can be downloaded for free on SoundCloud and via Phoenix’s website www.wearephoenix.com.
The “Chloroform (Sleigh Bells remix)” is just one of many interpretations of the incredible songs on Bankrupt!, which has seen remixes by the likes of R. Kelly, A-Trak, Grizzly Bear, Dinosaur Jr.’s J. Mascis, and more throughout 2013. The song is the first time Sleigh Bells have ever remixed another artist, which they did especially for Phoenix. It is also the first Sleigh Bells track to not use guitars.
After a packed festival season which has seen an unbelievable reaction to the new album ‘Bankrupt!’, Phoenix will return to UK shores in November for a headline show at the celebrated Manchester Warehouse Project series. Support includes Bipolar Sunshine, Jaguar Ma, Mike Simonetti and more. This show comes amidst a set of European dates that Phoenix are embarking on at the start of November, which will be fully supported by new up-comers, Haim.
