Jägermeister continue to celebrate true friendship with their IT RUNS DEEP campaign.
Meet Che Sudaka, a Latin American, ska-influenced band of brothers who hail from Columbia and Argentina. Lauded by the likes of The Specials and Manu Chao they play from the heart and regularly tour the world, bringing joy to crowds everywhere in the process. They arrived in Barcelona, where they now reside, just over a decade ago formed a strong allegiance almost instantly, one that has never wavered.
Also from the Jäger Music family of course Bullet For My Valentine are at the forefront of modern metal, one of the biggest hard rock acts of the last decade they play to sold out arenas and festival crowds wherever they go. The band grew up together in Bridgend, South Wales and have been friends since childhood. They evolved as a band through playing songs by bands they loved including Iron Maiden and Metallica, bands they would one day end up sharing stages with!
The shared background of friendship within these bands is why we have decided to unite them!
The idea is as simple and as beautiful as the end result. Che Sudaka to record a song in tribute to Bullet, musical styles colliding, ignited by that common bond; “At the moment we received the proposal to record a song about Bullet For My Valentine, and after listening to their music, we first thought we were absolutely different, too different. Then we found out about their history as a band and about their members and we really identified with them. We are both the same: a group of friends who stand together in spite of everything. So writing the lyrics was as simple as swapping names and the result is a true song that pays tribute to FRIENDSHIP” – Cheko, Che Sudaka
The result is; ‘BALAS FOR MY VALENTINE’ an uplifting, sweeping tribute…
Moose, Bullet For My Valentine; 'Being friends has been such an important part of this band, it means we can celebrate the highs with the people that truly mean the most to us and help each other through any tough times. I couldn’t imagine being in this band with anyone else. We love the track, its become a tour bus favorite already, we raise a toast to them – here’s to our new friends Che Sudaka!”
