Liam Hemsworth apparently wants a “clean break” from Miley Cyrus.
The Hunger Games star has been dating the We Can’t Stop singer on and off since 2009 and in 2012 the pair announced their engagement.
However, rumours their relationship is on the rocks have been on-going for some time and Miley’s recent behaviour is said to have tipped things over the edge.
Apparently Liam, 23, no longer wants to mess around and is keen to end things once and for all.
“They're just weeks away from calling it off. He is over her and wants to make a clean break,” a source told Us Weekly.
Miley caused a stir with her performance at this month’s MTV Video Music Awards, where she appeared in a flesh-coloured set of underwear and twerked in a suggestive manner.
She also used her Twitter account this morning to brag about an expletive-filled rant at paparazzi.
The pair have been spending a lot of time apart recently and Liam was spotted in London yesterday, while 20-year-old Miley was snapped in Los Angeles.
Miley may have defended her performance at the VMAs saying she was keen to “make history”, but according to recent reports Liam is less than pleased.
“Liam really does care about Miley, but her racy new look and sort of ghetto attitude isn’t exactly what he signed up for,” a source said.
“Her VMA performance absolutely mortified him and he couldn’t be more embarrassed. He doesn’t really see anything sexy about what she did on stage… It’s pretty much over.”
