U2 bassist Adam Clayton has married his Brazilian girlfriend Mariana Teixeira.

Clayton and Teixeira, a model, tied the knot on Wednesday in a small ceremony at the registry office in Dublin. According to a BBC report, guitarist The Edge and his wife, Morleigh Steinberg, attended.

The couple were expected to be married in France but made the decision for Dublin ceremony, but that doesn't mean that they are going to do everything low key. There is expected to be a three-day wedding reception starting Friday in France which will be attended by about 150 people.

Clayton has been a member of U2 since they originally formed at Mount Temple Comprehensive School in Dublin during the late 70's. This is Adam's first marriage, although he was engaged to model Naomi Campbell in the early-90's.

The couple, who have been dating for four years, became engaged earlier this year while on a trip to Teixeira's home country.
