Pete Tong has firmly established his Le Grand Bazaar event at Ushuaïa as this season’s hottest ticket in Ibiza.
The launch party, held (5 July) saw Pete joined by Pharrell Wiliiams, who took to the stage for his debut Ibiza performance, alongside DJ sets from Nervo, Tensnake, Tato and Diego Miranda. A capacity crowd of thousands, including Rita Ora, danced from 2pm until midnight. Pete closed the event with a DJ set accompanied by a dazzling array of special effects and pyrotechnics.
Pete Tong said: “I can't think of a better way to start Le Grand Bazaar at Ushuaia in Ibiza this season than with the man who sings GET LUCKY. Pharrell Williams was a phenomenon (last night) performing 20 songs in 45 minutes. I'd like to say he blew the roof off but we don't have one! Next week is Fatboy Slim - see you there!”
Next week’s event on 12 July will see Pete welcome Fatboy Slim, Idris Elba, Tom Staar and more, to the second edition of Le Grand Bazaar.
Pharrell Williams is fresh from his featuring roles in the recent game-changing Daft Punk smash (No.1 in over 60 countries), and alongside T.I on Robin Thicke’s recent hit, ‘Blurred Lines’. Tensnake, whose Essential Mix was recently voted one of the Top 20 mixes of the year by Rolling Stone, has just premiered his new single, ‘See Right Through’ featuring Fiora. Continuing the DJ line-up was one of the hottest DJ duos in electronic music across the globe, Nervo, and DC10 Ibiza resident and rising underground hero, Tato.
Pete and Tato began the opening party outside on the beach, before moving inside Ushuaïa to join Pharrell, Tensnake, NERVO and Diego Miranda for the evening’s festivities.
