Kasabian have announced that new material could be on its way in early 2014, according to guitarist Serge Pizzorno.
The Leicester band play all their hits at the Hard Rock Calling festival at London’s Olympic Stadium, which also featured Paul Weller, The Cribs, Miles Kane and The Klaxons on the bill.

Speaking to the NME, Pizzorno said: “It’s early days, but we’re hoping it’ll be released early next year. I’ve got a few ideas already and it’s sounding deep. Like future psychedelia with a mosh pit edge. How many bands can say they make music like that?”

Whilst playing in East London, the Glastonbury festival was going on. With the Rolling Stones, Artic Monkeys and Mumford and Sons all headlining in 2013, Pizzorno is confident that Michael Eavis will have his band playing Worthy Farm in the future...but only if they can top the bill. “Next time we go I want it to be when we’re headlining,” Pizzorno said. “It’s inevitable that we’ll headline, whether it’s next year or in 10 years. We’ll do it, I know it.”
