The eagerly awaited official Download festival app launches today. After the success of last years app Vodafone are once again partnering with Download festival to bring you their 2013 app which is a ‘must-have’ for any Download festival goer.
This is the first in a series of free festival apps from Vodafone and wherever your moshing to Slip Knot, rocking out to Iron Maiden or reminiscing with Motorhead you won’t want to be without this app in-hand.
The app helps you discover everything you need to enjoy the best possible experience at Download festival. Whether you want to browse the line up, build your own personal schedule, see where you are situated in the festival site or mark the location of your car or tent, this app will ensure that you stay fully informed all weekend.
You don’t have to be a Vodafone customer to use the app, but if you are make sure you check out the VIP section where you’ll find out about the great benefits you can access whilst at the festival.
App functions include:
Line Up: All the info you’ll need on who’s on, where and when. You can search by artist and even add artists to your personal festival schedule.
My Schedule: This is what every festivalgoers needs, a personal schedule so you don’t miss your favourite bands across the weekend, you can even add reminders to alert you to when bands are on.
Map: The interactive zoomable map not only tells you where your nearest bar or toilet is, but it also helps you locate your tent and even your friends.
News & Social: This section lets you share your festival experience with people at the festival and at home, you can; upload images to the official Download website and share on Facebook, as well as keeping up to date on the latest news from the official festival Twitter or Facebook feeds.
Info: Delivering all the essential festival information right to your handset, this section also includes the Vodafone VIP info that tells customers about how to access an exclusive viewing platform, information on how to recharge your phone battery for free and the opportunity to win a backstage tour.
