Stooshe wowed rush hour commuters in central London on Wednesday night when they performed two sets on the top deck of a traditional double-decker bus.
The performance caused chaos in London as shoppers at Topshop, Selfridges, and Primark – as well as commuters at Oxford Circus and Bond Street stations – stopped to see the spectacle, with many singing along to Stooshe’s new single ‘Slip’ and some even joining in with the dance which features in the video for the song.
Well over 200 fans turned up especially to join the fun and many of them desperately tried to jump on the bus. But the highlight for one young fan came when the girls spotted her singing all of the words to ‘Slip’ and dancing in the street, and invited her on-board for the rest of the journey.
Heading down Oxford Street, the boisterous trio - Alex Buggs, Courtney Rumbold and Karis Anderson – performed songs from their hotly anticipated debut album ‘London With The Lights On’ which will be released on May 27th on Warner Bros. Records.
As well as ‘Slip’, Stooshe performed the Gold-certified Top 5 single ‘Black Heart’ which has sold almost 500,000 copies and spent sixteen weeks in the Top 40, as well as ‘London With The Lights On’ album highlights ‘Kiss Chase’ and ‘My Man Music’.
Having spent much of the year to date putting the finishing touches to their album, the girls recently hit SXSW for a special performance at Perez Hilton’s One Night in Austin bash alongside Macklemore, Charlie XCX, Fall Out Boy and Paloma Faith. They’d previously impressed in the live arena following tours with Nicki Minaj and Jennifer Lopez.
