Selena Gomez is planning to go all out for her 21st birthday celebration.
The actress-and-singer turns 21 on July 22 and intends on throwing a big bash to ring in her personal new year.
Selena grew up filming Disney show Wizards Of Waverly Place and is still a firm children’s favourite.
However the Spring Breakers star is looking forward to being able to drink alcohol and party at nightclubs legally in the United States.
“I'm gonna have a huge party, so I'm excited," she told MTV News.
The 20-year-old star is especially enthusiastic about getting older so she can socialise with her friends more.
She has missed out on some fun experiences with her mature associates due to being under 21 years of age.
"I think my friends are more excited than I am, to be honest,” she admitted. “Because they're older than me, so they're like, 'We can finally take you places!'"
The Come & Get It singer has had an on-and-off relationship with Justin Bieber, 19, so her younger boyfriend is in the same position.
Justin and Selena are reportedly being touted as new American Idol judges.
Radar reports TV producers have set their sights on the Canadian pop star and his on-off girlfriend to give the show a boost next season.
The talent show has been posting sagging ratings this season.
For this reason the current panel of judges which includes Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Randy Jackson and Keith Urban, may not be back next year.
