The Goo Goo Dolls will celebrate their 20th anniversary together by entering a Los Angeles studio to record their ninth album, along with producer Glen Ballard (Dave Matthews Band, No Doubt).

Bassist Robbie Takac told Rolling Stone, "The decision we made after touring on our last record was to do something that would be a significant jump. Some of the optimism that was gone last time has come back, and, as we've started work on the songs, it feels like we're doing something new and different."
