Nicki Minaj is too busy to go on tour this year.
The Starships singer is currently a judge on US television singing competition American Idol. She also has a perfume line and clothing range to manage, so her schedule is constantly filling up.
Nicki told MTV News she doesn’t see how she could squeeze in time for stage shows for the rest of the year.
“I don't think I can. I really would love to. But I don't think I'll have the time,” she confessed.
The rapper is focused on building her brand at the moment.
In addition to her current commitments, she’s expanding with her own beverage and has attached her name to a new sound system.
“I'm also going to be launching a few products this year that I'm really going to have to lend myself to the clothing line, I have a drink that's about to come out and these new speakers that you guys are going to see a commercial for this week or next week,” she explained. “So I have a lot of things that the business side of me has to work on.”
The 30-year-old performer assured her diehard followers, or Barbz as she calls them, she has plans to begin composing her third album “very soon”.
She is working with producers on some new tracks and has vowed to take some time out to do some writing.
“I'm getting beats as we speak. I just haven't started writing, but that's my biggest priority at this point,” she said.
