Before launching a North American tour with his band Aerosmith, singer Steven Tyler will appear in "Be Cool," the sequel to 1995's "Get Shorty."

The shoot begins next week in Los Angeles, where he will appear as a spectator at a sporting event. The rest of Aerosmith will likely be included in the scene and the group may also be featured on the soundtrack, MTV says.

The 2002 book, which was written by Elmore Leonard, included Aerosmith as characters in the continuing story of a mobster in Hollywood.

"Be Cool" stars John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Harvey Keitel and Vince Vaughan.

It is scheduled to hit theatres on February 11, 2005.
