Taylor Swift is avoiding toxic men at all costs.
The country music singer has been romantically linked to John Mayer, Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal, Taylor Lautner, and most recently, Conor Kennedy.
The 22-year-old star is believed to be considering reconciliation with her most recent ex.
But in an interview with America's Harper’s Bazaar magazine, Taylor suggests she still hasn’t found the right combination of traits in a significant other.
“Some combinations of people are toxic, you know? You have to find the right one that isn't just going to explode into fiery ash and destruction,” she said of her romantic life.
High on her list is a man with ambition. And someone who will take the reins so she doesn’t have to work so hard to keep it all together.
“It needs to be equal. If I feel too much like I'm wearing the pants, I start to feel uncomfortable and then we break up," she explained.
"It's wonderful to hand over the reins to your boyfriend when you control so much of these big, high-pressure decisions, you know?”
The star said the quality will be a “huge defining factor” in who she chooses to be with.
