X Factor singing soldier Jonjo Kerr will be joined by the Military Wives to perform a brand new version of the hit track ‘In My Dreams’ at this year’s Festival of Remembrance at London’s Royal Albert Hall on 10th November 2012.

Jonjo Kerr from Chorley only returned from Afghanistan in September and serves as a private in Corunna Company 3rd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment based in Warminster. The 2011 X Factor finalist first collaborated with The Military Wives’ on their debut Number One album ‘In My Dreams’, and a brand new version of the album’s title track will be performed at the festival and will also appear on their new album 'Stronger Together', which is released on November 5th.

His manager, Dean 'Midas' Maynard said "This is a huge honour for Jonjo and his regiment and everyone at Midas Talentpr is so proud of him, it could not have happened to a nicer man"

Fifty members of the Military Wives will take to the stage with Jonjo in what is set to be a truly magical and emotional performance in front of an audience of 8,000, including members of the Royal Family. The event will also be live on BBC One and Radio Two.

Jonjo said this today, on hearing the news "Being asked to perform at the Royal Albert hall is a huge honour, I literally can't express my gratitude to everyone concerned for the opportunity. The Royal British Legion is an extremely important charity that helps us all to remember the fallen and thank them for the sacrifice that they have made for us"

The performance also marks The Military Wives’ second appearance at the Festival of Remembrance, which is where their story began just a year ago in 2011. It was at this event that they first performed ‘Wherever You Are’, a song which quickly swept the nation and became Christmas Number One.

Since forming just over a year ago with the guidance of mentor Gareth Malone, The Military Wives have expanded in size from the original 100 choir members to currently 760 members from British military communities at home and overseas. Last month The Military Wives broke the world record for the biggest ever video shoot in music history, shooting the video for ‘Stronger Together’, taken from the forthcoming album released through Decca Records on 5th November.

The Military Wives set to perform at the Festival of Remembrance span the regions Chivenor, Plymouth, Portsmouth, Lympstone and Catterick. The festival commemorates and honours all those who have lost their lives in service for the country.
