The third Sound Wave music festival, held by Steve LeVine Entertainment & Public Relations (SLE) and Disco Donnie Presents (DDP), broke the event's all-time attendance record with nearly 10,000 people attending last night’s electronic music festival at Big Surf Waterpark in Tempe, AZ.

Sound Wave music festival featured three stages, state-of-the-art event production and live art exhibits, all within the setting of a functioning water park. Sound Wave was the first of its kind in Arizona, each time hosting over 20 international, national and local DJ’s.

This year featured the addition of Red Bull Thre3Style MASSIVE to Sound Wave, which brought high energy all night featuring artists Z-Trip, Figure, Switch, Felix Cartal, Designer Drugs, Dub FX, D-JR & Fashen, M2, Dynamix, Tricky T & Jen Deveroux, Red Bull Thre3Style University winner, DJ Mane One, and surprise special guest Talib Kweli.

The Red Bull MXT in Bora Bora Bay, a one-of-a-kind mobile DJ booth, showcased local turntable tacticians 40 Ford, DJ Munition, EM Boys, Luke Romero, MCB, Silent J, Thomas James and Trapzillas.

The Waikiki Beach stage rested inside one of the world’s largest wave pools, and featured artists R3hab, Adventure Club, Crizzly, Seven Lions, Burns, DJ Soloman, Moxxy, Will Power and Sound Wave opening DJ contest winner, De-Noize.

The night closed out with headliner, quadruple-platinum selling progressive house DJ and producer, Calvin Harris playing a mashup of, “You Used to Hold Me” and “Quasar” on the Waikiki Beach stage to thousands of fans.

A portion of the proceeds for the event will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona, which helps Arizona Youth realize their full potential in life by carefully matching them with adults who can become friends and mentors.
