To coincide with the 25th Anniversary of its worldwide theatrical release, and described as "the Citizen Kane of rock'n'roll pictures" by Variety, and "the definitive music film of the seventies" by Sounds, The Great Rock 'N' Roll Swindle is finally released on DVD for the very first time in 5.1 Surround Sound on May 30th by SonyBMG in association with Shout! Factory.

The DVD includes a new and exclusive interview and audio commentary with director Julien Temple and rock journalist, Chris Salewicz.

Considered by many to be the definitive rock music documentary from one of the most influential and seminal bands ever, this is the first time The Great Rock 'N' Roll Swindle has been made available on DVD. The VHS version has been out-of-print since the '80s, and has only rarely been shown at midnight cinema screenings since 1990. The film features over 17 songs including God Save The Queen, Anarchy In The UK and Pretty Vacant, filmed at the Pistols' final gig in San Francisco.
