To earn the title of the “new Kylie” is a difficult honour to achieve, but 16 year old Welsh starlet Kirsten Orsborn, takes it all in her stride.

Since 2007, Kirsten from Neath in South Wales, has won talent show after talent show. She has appeared in many performances, both on stage and TV. She has already performed at the Grand Theatre, Swansea and holds the acclaim of working alongside Tommy Steele in Doctor Doolittle at the New Theatre Cardiff.

Added to this, Kirsten has sang at many large events and won numerous awards for her singing. She is quickly becoming a rising star and is attracting a great deal of attention, not only in, Wales but on an international scale.

Music News' very own Dean Midas Maynard was so impressed by Kirsten, that he recently signed her to his Midas Talentpr agency.

Dean said today, "Kirsten is a phenomenal talent with a fantastic, adaptable voice and I can see why she is likened to Kylie Minogue. She is very hard working with a down to earth personality. I think Kirsten is a very big star in the making".

This coming from Dean, who predicted early success for One Direction and Leona Lewis on the X Factor.

Kirsten has just finished her GCSE's, nervously awaiting the results due out in August. No rest for Kirsten though. She recently supported Armed Forces Day, performing at the Sunderland event on June 30th, winning a new army of fans and her voice was likened to Ms Minogue on more than a few occasions.

So how does the Orsborn family feel about Kirsten being labelled the 'new Kylie'? Mum Karen said, "Now her exams have finished Kirsten is looking forward to being able to continue her musical journey. She is full of passion for singing and we support her all the way."
