Lady Gaga has joked an MRI scan revealed her brain is "just water and a large floating jellyfish".

The songstress is currently on her Born This Way Ball world tour, and is recuperating from a stage injury. Gaga was hit on the head by a dancer's pole while performing in Auckland, New Zealand, just over a week ago.

The 26-year-old singer took to her Twitter page today to let fans know she is happy and healthy.

"Went for an MRI. No harm from the concussion but it appears my brain is just water and a large floating jellyfish (sic)," she wrote.

Gaga recently took to her personal page to post a photo of herself with a black eye following the incident.

"Emerging from hours of sleep. Still remiss if I should go outside, with this clonker I may be of questionable styling," she wrote, adding: "Thank you so much for all the thoughtful messages. I feel a bit woozy but a little better everyday. Very happy to be in beautiful Australia (sic)."

The eccentric star is updating fans on her activities in her down-time.

"I'm here, I'm here! How i love Sydney! Thank you for the warm welcome at hotel. I'm such a lucky girl. Got to rest up before the big show! (sic)" she wrote on Sunday, before later adding: "And I had a lovely time in Sydney today. I went to Luna Park, rode the mouse-coaster & had a nice lunch by the water. Very romantic city! (sic)."
