Bon Iver performs 4AD live session

Bon Iver put up a stripped back live performance for 4AD Sessions online.

In a rare minimalist form of the band, frontman Justin Vernon and collaborator Sean Carey paired at grand pianos in the AIR Studios at the historic Lyndurst Hall in London to perform five songs last October.

They reworked ‘Hinnom, TX’, ‘Wash’, ‘Babys’, ‘Beth/Rest’ and Bonnie Raitt’s ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’ for voice and piano, and a little bit of electronics.

Bon Iver just scored two Grammys, for ‘Best New Artist’, and ‘Best Alternative Album’, and will soon hit Australian shores for their sold out tour in March, which includes three Sydney Opera House shows, and three Tivoli shows.
