Leslie West is back and played his first live date Tuesday night at the B.B. King Blues Club and Grill in New York City as part of a tour with Uli Jon Roth. West had a leg amputated last year due to complications from diabetes and had been adjusting since.
According to a report, West performed from a wheelchair, opening with People Get Ready; however, he had to stop half way through the song when he was overcome with emotion. The crowd gave him a standing ovation.
Barry Manilow has been forced to postpone his upcoming Chicago shows until July, saying that his reconstructed hips needed just a little bit more time to heal. A New York show on February 10 is still on.
Europe has named their new album Bag of Bones. No other information has been released on the upcoming set.
Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band will play Harlem's Apollo Theater on March 9 to help SiriusXM Radio celebrate their 10th anniversary. Tickets will be free to SiriusXM subscribers and the show will be broadcast live on E-Street Radio (channel 10).
Steve Vai received the Les Paul Award at the 27th annual Technical Excellence and Creativity Awards, part of the NAMM convention. Given by the Les Paul Foundation, the award recognizes an artist whose work epitomizes the marriage of music and technology.

Lisa Marie Presley has opened a new exhibition at Graceland in Memphis. Elvis...Through His Daughter's Eyes includes numerous items including rarely-seen family photos and home movies that explore her childhood and special relationship with her father. Artifacts include Presley’s baby footprints, tricycle, record player, key to her personal golf cart, and dozens of other priceless items that highlight the influence of her father in her life.
Presley has also said that she is looking into making a new biopic of her father's life, saying she has always been unhappy with the films made so far.
The Bellamy Brothers were the victims of a robbery when thieves broke into their production truck while they were shooting a new music video. David Bellamy said in a statement, "The police told us that most of the electronics were offered to a local pawn shop right after the theft, but the owner turned the equipment down after suspecting it had been stolen. Fortunately, the video cameras and guitars were not taken, probably due to their size."
With the passing of producer and host Don Cornelius, VH1 has decided to repeat their acclaimed documentary Soul Train: The Hippest Trip in America this Friday night at 10 PM (EST).
