Dick Valentine's Electric Six will release their second album, and Rushmore Recordings/Warners debut, on February 14th. ‘Senor Smoke' is the successor to their Top Ten debut album ‘Fire'.

‘Senor Smoke' matches its predecessor in terms of raw energy and sheer fun, but takes a darker, more macabre route with a variety of leftfield turns. ‘Senor Smoke' features some self-confessed straight-up rockers including ‘Rock and Roll Evacuation' and ‘Bite Me'. But mostly the album veers wildly from infectiously joyous pop such as ‘Vibrator' to “groovier dance things” like ‘Dance Epidemic' and the unclassifiable ‘Devil Nights' (“it's unlike anything we've ever done… like Jamiroquai on acid”). But Valentine is particularly enthusiastic about the funk-infused closer ‘Future Is In The Future'.

The Electric Six story is the stuff of legend. Their classic debut single ‘Danger! High Voltage!' was only prevented from topping the charts by Girls Aloud's ‘Sound Of The Underground' whilst the feverishly addictive follow-up, ‘Gay Bar', hit the Top Five and became both a fan and festival favourite. The accompanying album, ‘Fire', was also a Top Ten success.

The download single ‘Vibrator' and Electric Six's gargantuan interpretation of the Queen classic ‘Radio Ga Ga' were released ahead of ‘Senor Smoke'.

Electric Six are set to embark upon a mammoth tour in support of ‘Senor Smoke'. The tour will commence at Glasgow Barrowlands on February 20th and culminate at London's Astoria on March 10th.
