Motley Crue get LA residency

It became official tonight (Thursday) on CNN's Piers Morgan that Motley Crue have signed to play a short-term residency in Las Vegas, a first for a hard rock band.

The group will play three or four nights per week over a three week period at the Hard Rock Hotel where Santana has been playing on a regular basis for a couple of years.

Vince Neil commented "We're the first hard rock band ever to have a residency [in Las Vegas]. There's been bands like Santana and Elton John and these kinds of acts, but for us… Motley Crue, we're all about theater and about over-the-top stage show, so it's a perfect fit for us. So we're really, really excited."

The dates for the shows are February 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18 and 19.
