Gorillaz and Converse will host a Gorillaz Sound System evening at the legendary 100 Club in London on Thursday, December 1 to celebrate their forthcoming collaboration and the band’s 10 years in showbiz.

Fully endorsed by Gorillaz, Gorillaz Sound System is a unique audio-visual experience, featuring music, live percussion and special projections. Gigs have included festivals and parties from Sydney to Cannes, for audiences of 100,000 to 100. Tickets will be available via www.gorillaz.com, www.converse.com and facebook/gorillaz

Converse announce the launch of their newest footwear collaboration with the world’s most successful virtual band. Hitting stores in February 2012, the styles from the collection combine the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star silhouette with the band’s legendary graphic images.

"To converse: the exchange of thoughts, feelings or ideas. That's what Gorillaz are all about, working and collaborating and exchanging ideas with other artists and global communicators. We've been trading in ideas and conversing with one another for ten whole years. So I couldn't think of a better bunch of people to help celebrate our decade in the business than the good people over at the Converse shoe company. Plus I've been wearing my Chuck Taylor's since forever." - Russel Hobbs, drummer of Gorillaz

The partnership between Gorillaz and Converse doesn’t end with the shoes – Gorillaz will also be part of the latest installment of Converse’s ‘Three Artists. One Song’ collaboration. All details will be announced at a later date.
Gorillaz: The Singles Collection 2001-2011, featuring all the genre-busting singles from Gorillaz three studio albums, will be released by Parlophone on 28 November.
