Latest research by MUZU.TV , the online music video site with the world’s largest legal catalogue, has revealed the top 20 towns and cities in the UK, outside of London, weighted by head of population that view the most music videos, with 7 of the top ones being north of the Watford Gap.

This year the videos watched are dominated by finalists from the X Factor.

Statistics reveal that singers, whose careers have evolved following appearances on the X Factor, have dominated the list, with JLS, Olly Murs, One Direction, Cher Lloyd and Jedward producing the number one most watched video in each of the following cities:

• Cher Lloyd – Swagger Jagger (Leeds)
• Olly Murs – Dance With Me Tonight (Birmingham)
• One Direction – What Makes You Beautiful (Cardiff)
• JLS – Take A Chance On Me (Belfast)
• Jedward – Bad Behaviour (Oxford)
