Beyoncé Knowles has revealed when she is due for the first time.
The 30-year-old performer will welcome her bundle of joy in February, she told Australia’s Sunday Night show.
Beyoncé first announced she was expecting a baby in August at the MTV Video Music Awards by showing off her tiny bump.
But she says that it is the most exciting time in her life and she cannot wait to have her baby early next year.
“[Being pregnant] already has changed my life,” she expressed. “My husband and I have been together for 10 years, all of my twenties.”
“I just feel like it’s time and I’m very grateful that God has blessed me with the biggest gift any human can have.”
Beyoncé tied the knot with rapper Jay-Z in 2008 and says she made the decision to wait until she was 30 before starting a family.
“I think because I’ve accomplished a lot of things for myself and I really know who I am, I didn’t rush into anything,” she explained. “If there’s any time, right now is the time, and I’m so happy.”
The Single Ladies star said that she had to take a break from the limelight last year to take stock of her life.
“It was a bit overwhelming,” she shared. “I was a bit numb and kind of lost.”
Beyoncé said that not having her father, Matthew Knowles, manage her anymore was challenging but she’s glad she severed the business ties.
“I’ve been managed by my father for a long time,” she explained. “And it’s been a real change being separated from him. It was scary, but it empowered me.”
The singer released a clip from her new single Love on Top today just days after the video for Countdown came out.
