When you hear him sing, it's hard to believe that Tony Bennett is 85 years old. His voice has lost little of the range and style that befalls so many other singers by that point in their life.

To celebrate that milestone birthday and the release of his new album Duets II, Bennett performed on Sunday at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York. The event was also to benefit Tony and his wife, Susan Benedetto's charity Exploring the Arts which helps public schools sustain and build their arts departments. The evening raised $2.5 million for the cause.

The evening included duets with Aretha Franklin, Elton John and Alejandro Sanz and opened with a video from Barack Obama. Former President Bill Clinton then took the stage and introduced Bennett for his 90-minute performance. Attendees included Robert DeNiro, Katie Couric, Richard Gere, Harry Belafonte, Dennis Leary, the parents of Amy Winehouse, Steven van Zandt, Mario Cuomo and Nancy Pelosi.

The after party was hosted by Alec Baldwin and included Elton John performing five songs for Bennett.
