Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden has turned down a judging position on the U.K. version of The Voice. He didn't hold back his opinion, saying "That show sounds so crap and demeaning to everyone involved, I took great delight in turning the BBC down. The X Factor is appalling enough, it’s no better than Opportunity Knocks."


HBO has struck a deal for the Martin Scorsese documentary George Harrison: Living in the Material World and will premier the film in two parts on October 5 and 6.


Ronnie Wood says he has finally beaten booze after his eighth stint in rehab last year. He told the Daily Mail "(It's) 16 months now. The war is over. Morrissey has banned the webmaster of the fan site Morrissey-solo.com from attending any further concerts due to his refusal to stop posters in the forum area of the site from discussing the singer's private life. The disagreement has been brewing for awhile, with the singer wearing a "Fuck Morrissey-solo.com" t-shirt during a concert last month. He then had the webmaster, David Tseng, evicted from a Monday night show in Copenhagen Denmark, issuing the ban shortly after.


Motorhead's Lemmy Kilmister has told Billboard that he has recorded ten tracks over the last seven years for a solo album that he hopes to have out sometime in 2012. Guests include Dave Grohl, Reverend Horton Heat and others.
