Patrick Stump insists he still gets on well with Pete Wentz.

The former Fall Out Boy frontman admitted that while he had his creative differences with the group’s bassist and chief songwriter, which contributed to their break-up in February 2010, they remain friends.

When asked if they’re still on good terms, he told Details magazine: “Definitely. Look, any musician is probably a little egotistical, so there’s always going to be friction. But we’re still good.”

Patrick – who recently released his debut solo album ‘Soul Punk’ – also denied claims Pete’s wife Ashlee Simpson – who he has now separated from - was the main reason behind the group splitting.

Speaking about comparisons of Ashlee to John Lennon’s widow Yoko Ono – who has been blamed by many as the main reason for The Beatles split – Patrick said: “Ashlee is no Yoko Ono. Also, Yoko Ono never deserved any of the hate she got. Paul McCartney and John Lennon weren’t getting along. Not that I’m drawing a parallel, because (a) we were getting along just fine, and (b) I’m not arrogant enough to compare Fall Out Boy to the Beatles.
