This autumn two great British brands are joining forces for the House of Fun Weekender, which will see Camden’s finest – the mighty Madness - taking over Butlins Minehead for three days of top quality seafront entertainment.
As British as a steaming hot mug of builders tea and a saucy seaside postcard, Madness will be heading up their very own Weekender with a scorching live show spanning their years as one of the most culturally significant bands in UK.
With their most recent album, the Top Five charting ‘The Liberty of Norton Folgate’ hailed by critics as their finest yet, Madness are at the peak of their powers. The Independent called the album “the band's most successful work”, while the Times said it was “one step beyond’ and the BBC labelled it “a magnificent magnum opus”. The iconic band was also honoured with the Idol Award at 2010’s Q Awards.
Live bands, DJs, comedy and cinema especially chosen by Madness will thrill and delight the 6,500 capacity crowd over the course of the 25th-28th of November. Each and every act will be come embossed with Madness’s stamp of quality while the band will also be letting the punters in on a host of extra special Madness-themed surprises over the weekend.
Madness are currently in the studio working on their 10th studio album, the follow up to the acclaimed ‘The Liberty of Norton Folgate’.
More detailed line-up announcements will be made over the coming months.
