Pete Doherty questioned over robbery

Libertines and Babyshambles star Pete Doherty is a suspect in a German robbery investigation.

Reuters reports that Doherty and two other men are under investigation regarding a record store robbery in Regenburg in Germany.

Thieves stole records and a guitar from the store a week ago and Doherty has admitted being at the scene but denies any theft allegations.

Doherty is in the German town filming his movie debut in an adaptation of Alfred Du Musset’s autobiographical novel The Confession Of A Child Of The Century alongside Charlotte Gainsbourg.

Police have not named the other two people under suspicion, but one is said to be a “prominent individual”.

This is the latest in a seemingly endless list of brushes with the law for the Babyshambles singer, his last charge occurring in late-2010 for cocaine possession.
