Abba’s Agnetha Faltkskog says she sees herself as “a pretty normal person” and is not a recluse but says, “I want to stay as anonymous as possible”.

Agnetha gave a rare interview to Swedish TV presenter Amelia Adamao. It was the interview with the off-the-cuff remark that had media all over the world reporting an impending Abba reunion, but of course she was misquoted.

Agnetha dismissed reports that she is a scared recluse stating “I don’t relate to the picture of me as a scared human being, or a victim of paparazzi or others. Naturally its unpleasant being watched wherever you go but that's not why I want to stay as anonymous as possible. It is a choice I have made, nothing I have been forced to do”.

“I think I’m a very well grounded person and I see myself as a pretty normal person,” she added. “I want to be left alone”.

When she was asked about an Abba reunion, she actually said that a tour will never happen. “We will hardly ever be reunited for a tour like the Rolling Stones or other big bands,” she said. “But I don’t hold for impossible that we do something together in the future. Please note this is not something I have discussed with the other three members, its more of a feeling I have that it would be great to get together and talk about old times and maybe make a performance together. But it would only take place once, perhaps for a charity of some sort”.

So I guess anyone betting on the Abba reunion for the William and Kate royal wedding can assume they have lost their money. What sort of charity event the four members would reunite for will only be answered at some time in the future.
