Famed French pop-princess, star actress and face of Chanel, Vanessa Paradis makes a rare UK appearance at London’s Koko performing tracks from her Greatest Hits (Universal/Wrasse Records) album, along with new songs for this special occasion.

Brought up on the songs and films of Juliette Gréco and Brigitte Bardot, Vanessa Paradis effortlessly blends her genres, combining French chanson with rock and pop. Blissful ballads, sung in French and English are saturated in sentiment; smooth vocals and sweet melodies complement driving rhythms and gorgeous instrumentation.

With a string of bestselling albums and a swish-sexy batch of films behind her - Vanessa Paradis first become internationally famous with her hit Joe le Taxi in 1987 at the age of 14. In 1992, she worked with American rock musician Lenny Kravitz on her first English album. Written and produced by Kravitz, the album titled Vanessa Paradis, topped the European charts. She went on to appear in several films including Noce Blanche, and in 2000 releasedBliss, another French chart topper, followed by the rock'n'roll oriented Divinidylle (2007) on which she took a more active role in songwriting.

Most recently Paradis starred in the romantic comedy box-office hit Heartbreaker (L'arnacoeur) (2010) alongside Romain Duris (The Beat That My Heart Skipped), directed
by Pascal Chaumeil. She has worked with Gérard Depardieu and Serge Gainsbourg – 'a dream come true' and French rock star Matthieu Chedid amongst others. Major hits include Be My Baby, Il Ya, Pourtant, Dis Lui Toi Que Je T’aime and more.
