Following the top 5 chart success of her third studio album ‘Tiger Suit’, KT Tunstall is to release a second single from the album on 5th December.
‘Fade Like A Shadow’ is a gloriously up-tempo stomper of a track about being haunted by someone from your past. With it’s chiming keyboards, driving bass and clattering drums, ‘Fade Like A Shadow’ (5th December on Virgin / Relentless) is a prime example of KT combining the elements of dance music and electronic textures with classic song writing– a bold new direction which she has dubbed ‘Nature Techno’.
Largely demo’d in the solar powered home studio she built at her recently acquired country hide away, ‘Tiger Suit’ (Out now on Virgin / Relentless) is produced by Jim Abbiss, famous for his work with Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, Adele and Editors amongst others. The album was recorded in Berlin – in the legendary Hansa Studios, which played host to the recording of seminal output from the likes of David Bowie (Heroes) and U2 (Achtung Baby).
KT also takes to the road again in 2011 armed with her ‘Wee Bastard’ effects pedals and new band of musicians (including newest recruit Charlotte Hatherley -formerly of Ash- on guitar). They play the following dates: -
