Liam Gallagher has been fined nearly £40,000 for a drunken brawl that also cost him two front teeth.

A German court hit the singer with the penalty at a hearing after he admitted fighting at Munich's posh Hotel Bayerischer Hof nightclub in December 2002.

The man who knocked his teeth out will stand trial for assault in the New Year reports Femalefirst.

The fight also lost Gallagher £175,000 in ticket sales, after two Oasis concerts were cancelled and an extra £180,000 to leave the country while his case was pending.
