Destiny's Child star Beyonce tucked in at a celebrity bash in the US - to a chicken curry flown 3,000 miles from a village takeaway in Surrey.

Virgin Record chief Tony Matthews forked out £4,000 to treat 20 guests to a spicy British Indian takeaway.

The madcap producer traced a curry chef whose kormas he tasted once eight years earlier.

Tony, 40, said: "Takeaways in New York are not great so I flew a proper British curry over. It seems extravagant but I did it because I could."

Tony contacted Muhib Miah after recalling memorable dishes he served at a Spice Girls party in London in 1998.

Muhib and his chefs prepared Beyonce's dish in Lingfield, Surrey, packed it in a cooler box and sent it to Heathrow by private helicopter.

From there the dishes were jetted to the party in New York.

Muhib, 42, who owns the Lingfield Tandoori, said: "I partcooked the meals, and flew with them to New York. It was crazy."
