After a selection of UK gigs and international festival appearances over the summer, the Wire Daisies today announced that they are to tour the UK in November. Stretching over the length and breadth of the country, the tour kicks off in Glasgow on Tuesday 16th November and culminates in a homecoming gig in the Wire Daisies' native Cornwall on Friday 26th November.
The UK tour includes support slots with fellow Cornish crusaders Thirteen Senses and acclaimed songwriter Stephen Fretwell, who has just completed a UK support slot with Keane. The Wire Daisies will be the headline act in Exeter, St Austel (Cornwall) and London where they will be playing at the prestigious Bush Hall venue on the 22nd November.
The Wire Daisies' UK tour rounds off an amazing year for the Cornish quartet. After signing with ID Records and EMI Publishing, they released their debut album 'Just Another Day' through Transistor Project in September. 'Just Another Day', a beautiful collection of elegant melodies and soaring anthems, has become a great success story for iTunes. On the iTunes charts the album went straight to No.7 in their main chart and No.1 on the alternative chart after the track, 'Make Everything Change', had been Single Of The Week for just two days. 'Just Another Day' subsequently went into the Top Ten on the iTunes album charts in France and Germany and continues to be heavily featured on the home pages in both of these territories.
The Wire Daisies will be warming up for their tour when they play at the Digital Music Awards on Tuesday 19th October at London's Shepherds Bush Empire.
