The Vauxhall UK Beatbox Championships is back for its biggest year yet in 2010. With performers throughout the UK keen to show off their vocal skills, everyone’s in with a chance to win a brand spanking new Vauxhall Corsa SXi worth £14,500!
Bringing together the best of UK new vocal talent, the regional heats will be fiercely battled from February to June in London, Bristol, Nottingham and Newcastle. Heat winners, decided by the crowd and judges, then cruise down to London for the grand final.
Unleashing their vocal artistry at the O2 Islington Academy, each finalist must use their full arsenal to impress the roaring crowd and some of beatboxing’s finest judges who will also be performing exclusive live sets. Loud-mouth legend, Stig of the Dump will be conducting proceedings and for 2010, the crowd will be treated to an entirely new concept for the event – the crew battle. For the first time ever at the Championships, two or more groups of beatboxers will perform a staged clash surrounded by ‘battling’ breakdancers that is sure to raise the roof.
