The fashion designer – who has three children, Miller, four, Bailey, three, and Beckett, two – has revealed she and her publisher husband Alasdhair Willis are ready for more babies.

She said: “I’m kind of interested in having more children. Though, right now, I feel like I’ve only just stopped having them, so I’m ready to have a bit of a break first.”

Despite her broody feelings, the 38-year-old brunette – the daughter of Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney – insists she loves her career too much to ever give it up completely.

She said: “You’re allowed to be a working mum. You just have to strike a balance.”

Stella herself has three siblings - sisters Mary and Heather and brother James.

Recently, Stella’s friend Liv Tyler revealed the pair like to unwind with a nice bottle of wine and have a girlie gossip when their children go to sleep.

The actress – who has a five-year-old son Milo from her marriage to musician Royston Langdon - said: “A great night in? Stella McCartney’s house in the country. Once our kids are asleep it’s ‘grab the wine’ and take turns to talk boys and husbands.”
