Wonka-inspired ‘golden ticket’ up for grabs as tickets go on sale for 2000trees Festival
Discover the very best in new music…
This summer, discover the very best in new British music as 2000trees Festival returns to Upcote Farm near Cheltenham on 16th – 17th July for a fourth year running.
Tickets go on general sale at last year’s prices, for a limited time only,
on Monday, February 15th.
And one lucky person will win a ‘golden ticket’ – including the chance to meet and announce the band of their choice on the main stage during the event.
Everyone who buys a ticket before Valentines Day (Feb 14) will go into the competition draw to win backstage VIP access, free food, drink and merchandise (including t-shirt, posters, bags, programmes and a Cider Smiles official festival CD), as well as having their tent put up for them.
Promoting the finest homegrown talent emerging from the vibrant British music scene, 2000trees is the perfect place to unearth tomorrow’s stars today. With an eclectic line-up spanning many musical genres, this intimate and friendly festival has become a haven for music fans - many of whom discover their new favourite bands at the event.
Rising stars play alongside more established acts to create an inspiring, chilled out, fun festival of good music and great atmosphere, set within the stunning Cotswolds countryside.
In its short history 2000trees has established itself as one of the leading small festivals in the British summer calendar. Created by a group of friends in 2007, the festival was born out of frustration with the ever increasing corporate sponsorship and mass advertising nature of the larger traditional British festivals.
Disillusioned by extortionate ticket prices with over priced food and drink, this band of festival veterans vowed to take matters into their own hands and in true punk rock style set about developing the perfect antidote.
There are two full days of live music featuring over 50 acts on three stages, plus VIP early entry for the first 500 people to purchase early entry passes, for an extra evening of music and camping under the stars on July 15th.
Festival organiser Andy Rea said: “2000trees is set to enjoy its best year yet and has built up a loyal following of passionate music fans because of the line-up.
“It is an affordable way to have a great time and be inspired about new British music, perhaps even to discover a new favourite band for the first time”.
Previous acts include Frank Turner, The King Blues, Eighties Matchbox B-line Disaster, Art Brut, Slow Club, Future Of The Left, Beans On Toast, The Duke Spirit, The Ghost of a Thousand, Danananaykroyd, These New Puritans, Red Light Company and Wild Beasts.
