Former Oasis bass guitarist Andy Bell has once again teamed up with Liam Gallagher for the singer's new band.
Bell scored several hits as songwriter and guitarist in bands Ride and Hurricane #1 but joined Oasis in 1999 following the departure of Bonehead.
He helped to develop Oasis's live sound and added elements of his own songwriting.
After Oasis split this summer, Bell was snapped on holiday with Gallagher in Italy and it now appears that he will join the singer on his new album.
In an interview with Sky News, Gallagher said of his new group: "It's me, it's Gem, and it's Andy.
"We've got a new bass player, and he's mega. We've got the old drummer, Chris Sharrock. We've got the old keyboard player (Jay Darlington)."
But he admitted that they were struggling to think up memorable band names despite speculation Gallagher could keep the Oasis name.
He added: "We're sort of going through the mill about getting new names. Nothing's sticking."
And he said they had no plans as yet to go on tour.
He said: We'll see what happens when the record's done. We're concentrating on the music at the moment."
