Stephen Gately’s funeral today

Stephen Gately’s funeral is to take place this afternoon in Dublin.

Fans of the Boyzone star are expected to line the streets outside St Lawrence O'Toole's Church to pay their last respects to the singer.

The remaining Boyzone members Ronan Keating, Shane Lynch, Keith Duffy and Mikey Graham flew out to Majorca yesterday to accompany Stephen’s body back home.

Louis Walsh, Stephen’s manager and close friend, will also be attending the funeral and will not be appearing on either X Factor show this weekend.

Irish performer Tony Kenny will sing ‘My Son’ at the request of Stephen’s mother Margaret. Boyzone will sing ‘In This Life’.
